1. General rule
We aim to make cancellation, rescheduling and refunds clear and fair. A request for information or consultation does not itself create a paid service engagement. When a service is purchased, the accepted proposal or agreement confirms the scope, fees, start date and any specific cancellation conditions. Mandatory consumer rights always prevail.
2. How to request cancellation
Send a written request to info@ibusinessconsulting.ca identifying your name, project reference and the service to be cancelled. We will acknowledge the request and explain the status of the engagement, amounts already earned or committed, and any refund due.
3. Before and after work starts
Where no work has begun and no authorized non-recoverable third-party cost has been incurred, payments for undelivered services will generally be refundable, subject to the accepted agreement and applicable law. Once work has started, iBC may charge for services actually performed and authorized, properly disclosed third-party commitments, to the extent permitted by law and the agreement. We will not impose an undisclosed or unlawful cancellation charge.
4. Meetings, project changes and external fees
Clients should give reasonable advance notice when rescheduling a meeting. No-show charges apply only if clearly disclosed and accepted in advance and lawful. Government charges and third-party provider fees follow their own applicable rules; we will identify these separately before the client commits, where relevant. Changes to a project may require a revised written scope and price.
5. Refund process and consumer rights
Approved refunds will be returned through an appropriate payment method within the period required by applicable law or the written agreement. iBC will confirm the amount and expected timing. Nothing in this Policy limits non-waivable cancellation, refund, chargeback or other statutory rights. Questions or disputes may be sent to info@ibusinessconsulting.ca.
